Amid diversifying customer lifestyles, the Isetan Mitsukoshi Group is promoting unique proposals that meet the differing needs of each individual customer. In addition to digital services such as ISETAN DOOR (Japanese version only), a regular food delivery service, and meeco (Japanese version only)新しいウィンドウで開く, a cosmetics e-commerce site, our online communication is also evolving, including YourFIT365, a shoe selection service that links customers’ 3D measurement data with an app to expand the range of shopping, and Match palette by SCANBE, a styling service.
We are working to provide the optimal customer experience for each of our customers by maximizing the capabilities of people, the power of digital technology, and physical contact points in the form of our stores.

Remote Customer Service Tailored to Customer Needs

  • A digital service has taken root that connects our regional stores remotely to the Mitsukoshi Nihombashi and Isetan Shinjuku main stores, allowing customers to enjoy shopping for products that previously could not be purchased without going to either store from a regional store.
    At the Takamatsu Mitsukoshi Digital Salon, customers are taken to a private salon where a stylist (sales representative) with whom they have a close relationship introduces the Mitsukoshi Nihombashi Main Store’s product lineup, and meets the needs of each individual customer. We provide remote customer service in a variety of styles. For example, a stylist in Nihombashi can walk around the store with a camera to provide customers with a realistic shopping experience. The stylist may need to provide repeated customer service to help the customer achieve their desired look, such as coordinating jewelry to match the customer’s outfit, or coordinating furniture for a home renovation. Until now, this would have been impossible without visiting the store where the product is located; however, by utilizing remote customer service, which allows us to connect over distance and time, we are able to satisfy more of our customers’ expectations. We will continue to expand our efforts to provide this kind of special shopping experience to meet the needs of our customers.

REV WORLDS, a Communication App Using the Metaverse

REV WORLDS is a Metaverse-based virtual city communication app offered by the Isetan Mitsukoshi Group.Users can operate their avatars to stroll around a virtual city in the image of Shinjuku, and enjoy shopping and contents at the virtual Isetan Shinjuku Main Store and corporate booths. Users can enjoy communication with family, friends, and other users using the voice and chat features, and experience human connections while encountering unexpected products and new opportunities on the street and in the store.
More than two years after its launch, we have hosted a variety of corporate and brand exhibits and events via this app. In October 2023, in conjunction with the 350th anniversary of Mitsukoshi, the Tsutsumu: Japanese Style Beauty HANA-HIRAKU exhibition was held in the app’s virtual art gallery. This virtual exhibition explored the history of Mitsukoshi’s wrapping paper, including wrapping paper designs by children from all over Japan, exhibits related to gift-giving, and quizzes and other interactive events.
We plan to improve our services by attracting content from other companies to provide a richer lifestyle, both in real and digital life.
